k-fold cross-validation of imaging MS-based molecular histology. The imaging MS datasets from a large patient series are randomly split into k sub-groups and the agreement analysis iteratively performed on datasets containing (k-1) subgroups. The regions identified with each iteration can then be compared by calculating their correlation.
