Inoculation sites on the tail resulted in epithelial proliferations on thin fibrovascular stalks (A). Boxed area reveals koilocytes within the stratum granuloum (C). These koilocytes were positive for papillomavirus antigens by immunohistochemistry (B, D). The infected vagina had diffuse mucosal hyperplasia with irregular invasion into the surrounding wall (E). Boxed area is enlarged to illustrate the marked koilocytosis (F). The koilocytes in the vagina had positive expression of papillomavirus antigens by immunohistochemistry (G).
