Average values for the three groups (healthy controls, UNE, atypical proximal lesions) were calculated at each slice position and plotted. The patient group with atypical proximal ulnar nerve lesions had significantly elevated nerve-to-muscle signal intensity ratios at upper arm level, while UNE patients had a pathological signal increase at the elbow compared with only slight increase in healthy controls.
