Immunolocalization of HIF1A in limbs.
Immunoreactivity was detected in control limbs in the apical ectodermal ridge and interdigital regions (I.R.). The mesenchymal condensations/developing cartilaginous anlagen (Digits) were not immunoreactive. 4-OOHCPA treatment resulted in a concentration- and time-dependent increase in HIF1A immunoreactivity in this area in the 3 and 6 h exposure groups; staining was diminished by 24 h. Four separate replicates were done.
