Transgenic Rescue of the LARGE_myd Mouse: A LARGE Therapeutic Window?

The LARGE-LV5 transgene restores IIH6 reactivity and confers a diffuse global increase in the epitope in brains.

IIH6 immunostaining of cerebellar sections of brains from wild type, WT-LV5, LARGE_myd and LARGE_myd-LV5 mice (as indicated). IIH6 reactivity is observed in blood vessels and the pia in WT, WT-LV5 and LARGE_myd-LV5 cerebellum, but not in brains of LARGE_myd mice. Overall stain intensity is higher in LV5 transgenic mice than in WT controls. Bar: 200μm.
