Allele-specific DNA methylation of disease susceptibility genes in Japanese patients with inflammatory bowel disease

Fig 3

The signal cluster plot in the genomic imprinting region by methylation-sensitive SNP array (MSNP) analysis.

(a, b, c) Array data of rs2107425 located on imprinting control region (ICR) showing ASM regulated dependent on paternal or maternal allele. Rs2107425 is located upstream of H19 (11p15.5), this region is known ICR of H19 and IGF2, which are one of the famous imprinted genes. (a) All samples, (b) Homozygous samples, (c) Heterozygous samples. Heterozygous changed homozygous after digestion. This change was biallelic (C/T changed C/C or T/T); thus, ASM regulated not in cis with genotype, but rather due to genomic imprinting.
